One of the reasons I'd love to be a bestselling writer (besides being able to pay bills on time) is so I don't have to work so hard to try and pitch a project. When you've got the name, you suddenly get publishers pitching themselves to you.
But, since I'm still on that journey, I'm constantly trying to figure out ways of putting my stories which tend to be out-of-the-box into a easy-to-understand box.
So this morning, I seriously wrote this down as a soundbite for this series idea I've been working for the past decade:
"Eat Pray Love as imagined by Stephen King and Frank Peretti."
Without any context, I know that sounds silly, but it really fits.
Eat Pray Love is about a woman on a journey.
Stephen King signifies the horror genre.
Frank Peretti signifies spiritual warfare.
They fit, at least in my mind.
